Who is the best person to see..

Appointmentscalendar

All consultations are by appontment with morning and afternoon slots available Monday to Friday. Please try to give as much notice as possible to allow the receptionists to offer you a suitable time with the doctor or nurse of your choice.

Urgent cases will be seen on the same day by whichever doctor is available.

The practice operates a "usually seen" doctor system to promote continuity of care. Patient choice is however recognised and whilst we will endeavour to meet requests for specific doctors we cannot guarantee access within 48 hours.

Extended hours are offered until 20:00 on Tuesday for pre-booked routine appointments only.

Patients who are registered for Systmonline can access on-line services including appointments and repeat prescription requests here

Telephone consultations

The doctor or Nurse practitioner is able to speak to you over the telephone if you require advice or if you are unsure as to whether you need an appointment with the doctor or not.  Please ask the receptionist or read the document 'Who is the best person to see' at the top of the page

Nurse Practitioners

In many cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Nurse Practitioners are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly. We have three Nurse Practitioners who are able to prescribe and issue prescriptions. If you are unsure as to whether a Nurse Practitioner is able to help - please read the document 'Who is the best person to see' at the top of the page.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Booking appointments online

Systmonline allows patients to book and cancel appointments plus request repeat prescriptions online through the practices' clinical computer system at a time convenient to themselves.  In order to register for this service, you need to bring one piece of photographic identification into the practice.  The process takes only a minute to complete at the reception desk.
